Oracle Challenger Series Comes to Indian Wells

The Oracle Challenger Series continued on February 24, featuring American headliners from the Newport Beach tournament and professional players from around the world. Hosted at Indian Wells, California, the tournament is a combined ATP Challenger Tour and WTA 125K Series event, each offering a prize money purse of $150,000. These tournaments provide an additional reward for American players: the top two male and female American players with the highest series point total will receive wildcard entry to the BNP Paribas Open.

The Oracle Challenger Series is an example of Oracle’s continued support for American tennis, both professional and collegiate. Partnering with the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, Oracle created the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships, held at Indian Wells in November and the Oracle/ITA Masters held each year in Malibu, California. Additonally, last year Oracle launched the Oracle US Tennis Awards, a $100,000 grant given to former American college tennis players making the transition to the pro tours. The awards are presented to one male and one female professional player each year at the BNP Paribas Open.
