Miami and USC Players Win Oracle ITA Masters Titles

Oracle’s commitment to American tennis has led to the creation of several prestigious tournaments this year. Three took place during the summer, and the Oracle ITA Masters in Malibu, California, gave fans their first collegiate tennis tournament of the fall.

In final matches broadcast nationwide on ESPN3 and the ESPN App, University of Miami’s Estela Perez-Somarriba defeated Evgeniya Levashova in tightly-contested straight sets to take the women’s title, and University of Southern California’s Lauren Verboven defeated Nicolas Moreno de Alboran in a tiebreaking third set to capture the men’s title. Both men’s and women’s champions also earned guaranteed seeding in the Oracle ITA National Fall Championships, which will take place in November at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex in Surprise, Arizona.
