At today’s Oracle Media Day, Oracle CEO Mark Hurd detailed new support offerings for SaaS applications. The new offerings include technical support, business planning, and educational resources for Oracle customers. Supported applications include Fusion ERP, EPM, HCM, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Sales, Service, Marketing and Commerce.
Oracle’s highest level support, known as Oracle Platinum-Level Support, will be available to SaaS applications customers at no additional cost. To help accelerate deployment and ensure success, the new support service will provide customers with a dedicated engineer during the implementation process, as well as success planning and adoption guidance. The package also includes proactive technical monitoring, 24/7 support and access to a new platform featuring digital education resources.
During the event, Oracle also announced the launch of Advanced Services, a set of comprehensive support services designed to meet specific requirements for individual businesses providing more choice for the customer.
Remarking on the new support services, Hurd said, “As the software industry moves to the cloud, our application support offerings need to become more agile and responsive. We need to provide our SaaS customers with everything they need for rapid, low-cost implementations and a successful rollout to their users.”
