Mark Hurd and Oracle’s Investment in U.S. Tennis a Net Gain for Young Players

Oracle CEO Mark Hurd and Oracle were featured on Tennis.com for their efforts to help develop young tennis players in the United States. Hurd attended Baylor University on a tennis scholarship, and he has long supported collegiate and up-and-coming athletes who want to play the game at the highest levels.

Oracle sponsors the Oracle Challenger Series, which hosts competitions in Chicago, Illinois; Houston, Texas; Newport Beach, California; and Indian Wells, California. At the conclusion of the four-event tournament, the two men and two women who accumulate the most points have the opportunity to obtain wildcard entry into the BNP Paribas Open, which the Association of Tennis Professionals has recognized as the best tournament at the Master’s level.
